Conversational collages creating generational dialogues between black women in art, politics, and culture.  Scale of Honor explores the multiple dimensions of black women in her varied forms of expression and ways of existing. It questions the concept of "honor" and the societal, sliding scale of honor and respect a black woman is met with. The public constantly negotiates her honor based on her outfit, hair, profession, family life, body shape, skin color, or ideas.  These collages protest this invisible "Scale of Honor" and depict these women overlapping in solidarity, power, and honor. Each collage is hand-made composed on 8.5x11in. letter size paper.
